Being used to downplay a murder.

I strongly believe that neither nature nor nurture can be used to excuse criminality nor should they be even considered as mitigating factors in the severity of sentencing for a crime. Once a sentence is decided agnostic to their condition, then it can make sense to remand someone who is criminally insane to a mental health facility for the term of their incarceration if they would be unable to serve their sentence in prison. Just the same as you'd put a convicted killer into a secure health facility if they had leukemia and needed constant treatment.

Every person is the product of their genetics and their circumstances. These only explain our choices, they don't excuse them. If someone has the IQ of a child but is still capable of manifesting the intent to carry out a murder and ability to enact it, that person should be removed from society as a dangerous murderer, usually meriting a lifetime of incarceration.

We are a complex mess of noodley synapses firing electrochemical signals to neurons. We could plausibly one day reduce the entire human condition to its base machinery, we could explain every output from every input. But even if we could, why should that in any way reduce our personal responsibility? Still the same actors relative to one another, there's no separate race of ubermensch with enlightened decision making who must forgive the trespasses of the lesser men who know not what they do. Fairness is a sword that cuts both ways, you and I are no better and no more inherently valuable than any other human and to place ourselves above them and claim they don't hold responsibility for their decisions but we do for ours- its just hubris.

did u see the video of the filth stabbing a 23 year old Ukranian woman? I can already see them using every mental illness playbook especially if he does have schizophrenia. Many people live with schizo, they don't go around murdering.

Life in prison or death penalty is the only suitable outcome in cases like that, any person who under any circumstances will stab an unaware innocent person to death at random in a surprise attack, can never return to free society under any conditions.

On the contrary I think we need more murders.

You'll be pleasantly surprised to know that you can decapitate someone on bus in canada and still get released back into society without doing any time in prison

Ya it's sad that he's going to even have a case when you see him methodically take out a small knife and then kill her and calmly walk off with blood dripping everywhere.

I don't see him "talking to his demons" or exuberating serious signs of schizophrenia and every case of schizophrenia is different. Some have auditory hallucinations. Some have visual. Some have none.

One of the absolute worst videos I had to watch the unedited and I almost puked. What a pathetic excuse for a human being. Just like the dumbass kid who killed the Healthcare CEO. Random and unprovoked???? or

Dudes hate their lives so they kill an innocent person and go "hehe I'll have food and a bed in jail".

If that black dude made it to jail he'd be dead. No one respects someone who kills woman or children. Even the most ruthless gangs know woman and children aren't a part of the "rift".

They have to put him in a loony-bin and all of us citizens have to pay for him to live there for the rest of his days.

Sadly if America was a real democracy through and through we'd all get to watch the video of him kill that girl and you'd get to swipe "right" for death penalty or "left" for decades of care in a mental health facility. When you decide to swipe left it would then show you the "cost" out of your pocket to keep a murderer alive and then ask you "Are you sure?".

9/10 people want him dead yesterday.
