Does anyone find it odd that a city that has thrived and become the largest city in the US based solely on capitalism is now considering electing someone who believes capitalism doesn’t work and needs to be replaced? Prepare for a mass exodus of business leaving NYC I guess.

they cant legally do socialism without congress making a change to the constitution. you legally can not seize the means of production without fair compensation. the govt cant take peoples homes without paying market value. they can penalize multi home ownership but that would force sales and increase rent. the city also has to have a balanced budget they cant print like the federal govt that will limit many things. hes setting himself up big promises made with no understanding of how to deliver.
