This will not end well for Elon - all his companies, which are largely all woke nonsense e.g. electric cars and solar power, will be crushed by ceasing to prop them up with taxpayer funds.

There is a possibility that this whole thing is a red herring.

Extremely unlikely, but it could make sense: Elon was leaving anyways, this may get people to stop burning teslas and hating elon so much. That list is never getting released in our lifetimes, it will be same as jfk... Both Trump and elon love attention, this is free attention (coverage) for weeks.
