Do you believe freely accessible public education should be funded by your tax dollars? Aren't there better things we could be spending it on instead?

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio lawmakers are debating on spending $600 million to help finance a new stadium for the Cleveland Browns after Republican leadership called the same amount of money "unsustainable" when it came to funding public education.

Despite Gov. Mike DeWine's subtle pleas to not give taxpayer money to the multi-billionaire Haslam family, GOP legislative leaders have reacted warmly to the team that lost 14 games last season.

The problem is they're not educating children.
They are indoctrinating them based on an agenda.

Public school is a government run facility.
Parents are dumping their children off at government run facilities.

Got children raising children.
It's no wonder society is failing.

The Lost Generation was the last group of adults in the room.
WW2 created so many psyop, anyone born after didn't stand a chance.
Now we got fools at the knobs and levers who don't even understand how the machine works.

We're trapped in a loop of being mental midgets.
No desire or need to use the brain.
Play video games, buy toys, eat candy.

Your children see you act as a child who has never grown up, they will never know how to grow up.

People are struggling to put food on the table and pay rent. The only natural thing to do is make it so private school is the only real option should you wish to go the academic route and then obviously also complain that people are not having enough kids.

Nothing has changed since the beginning of mankind.

Mankind developed tools to fend off the creatures of the night.

Those who did not have the proper tools were killed off by the creatures of the night.

It's darkest before the golden dawn when god's sun rises to bring safety.

I don't feel bad for those who are ill equipped to survive.

Out education system is outdated, there's a reason charter schools achieve great results even with the most blighted demographics.

Yes, but that is not happening. It's so bad the US Dept needs a complete reimagining. I'm not sure what that looks like though.

Year over year more public districts are going to the 4 day school week, primarily because they are unable to afford operating budgets for 5 days. In the USA, districts moving to 4 day weeks have increased 600% since the 90s. In Minnesota, I think we've got 8 running that schedule with 2 considering. I think it used to be less than 4 pre 90s.

Where I am, the politicians will say the schools are fine, they are meeting minimum minutes in the classroom. Their rankings in core proficiency say otherwise.

There is no free school lunch on the 5th day, no special needs service, etc. locals who pay FED tax have to subsidize the 5th day relative to other citizens in richer jurisdictions.

I have written Walz, Klobuchar, MN Commissioner of Education. They didn't give a F. Now they care? Let it burn, rebuild it

I'll take the voucher idea tho

My biggest dream is that one of the best places in a city/town is a huge library filled with information for people of all ages for free.

The internet supplanted libraries which now serve no purpose other than a 3rd space. But 3rd spaces are extremely important
