Pretty sure gas is going to go down for sure. Drill baby drill, etc.

Groceries will probably stay the same, which is basically a drop given average inflation rates. Let's check back in a year.

Let’s try to focus on the entire picture instead of individual costs. The whole idea was that cost of living would come down for the average American. Trump is saying “I can’t guarantee that prices will come down because my tariffs will inevitably create prices increases for the consumer”

Walmart gets a lot of it's products from china.

Many Americans bury their head in the sand to this fact.

Instead of addressing the strangle hold that china has on various industries,
people would rather pretend it's not a problem.

Some of the price increase from tariffs comes from the companies passing the extra cost onto the customer.
A corporation would rather increase their shelf price than make less profit.

Trump knows that countries don't play fair with USA.
He claims he is trying to fix that.
I'm not opposed to coming up with solutions.

TDS and Orange man bad folks will use this as an opportunity to criticize and spew venom about trump.
While ignore that USA is getting it's lunch ate by some other countries.

e2- And who knows. Just perhaps some of these people have investments in these other countries.
Profiteering off the decline of USA, so it's beneficial for their pockets to oppose any incline.

The promise of the campaign was to bring down the costs of living. Is it really satisfactory for you if gas and eggs go down but overall inflation ramps up more? Btw this isn’t a recognition that gas and eggs specifically will go down either.

This isn’t an attempt to disparage Trump or a hope that he fails. In fact, I would love nothing more than to see costs of living go down as was a central part of his campaign. I hope he gets all the credit in the world for making America great. I’m addressing what he has said about expectations on inflation.
