This story really illustrates the sheer level of hatred emerging on the left. How much online discourse is cheering the death of some random person they never heard of before, all because of a political narrative? Its like watching a struggle session. Has anyone been wronged by this guy? Has he committed any crimes, hurt anyone, done anything wrong? What, hate him because he's a billionaire with a yacht and therefore we should despise the very fact of his existence? Except not even that. He lived in a mundane middle class home and was nowhere near a billionaire. Who cares, reddit and bluesky can cheer for more CEOS assassinated.
And its not like its just a groundswell of terrorist militancy spreading on the front page of reddit alone. Now we have journalists and other personalities making their endorsement of anarchoterrorism known. Taylor Lorenz of the NYT was postinf where to find the homes of more targets
I think the unhinged cheering on of his targeted murder is less to do with a political narrative, and more to do with alot of people sympathizing with and relating to being screwed over/betrayed by insurance companies. He is their perfect demon, not only a CEO but CEO of what I understand to be the largest insurance provider in the country.
Now that Trump won, the stochastic terrorists that the democratic party pretend don't exist will start coming for THEIR friends instead of just Republicans, which the democratic party was ecstatic about and would cheer on. They created a golem that they can't control, many such cases
