Easy solution for people who don't like it. Just don't watch it. Let companies pour money into things that get bad viewership.

If they get good viewership, I guess that's what the people want so they know what they are doing as entertainment providers.

The all-female ghostbusters film flopping and the Oscars losing viewership over their constant virtue signalling are two of the main examples I can think of in recent history.

When you think about it the biggest DEI in america is the electoral college, letting a small minority of hicks push everyone else around and elect insane racists.
Also any dude playing tomb raider was already gay.

Nothing wrong with this point of view. Although i dont like replacing my childhood memories. But my child hood is over. Its the youth of today whose childhood we should try our damndest to make memorable.

If the character is fine in the story, it's even good.

But as the parent, you still have the option to watch all those goldies you loved with your kid. Its not cable tv now or when I was a kid 3 channels on the bunny ears. You have unlimited options.

Can watch the old DBZ, can watch Studio Ghibili, Land Before Time, old Disney, etc or whatever your taste was that you now want your kid to experience.

I don't think its crammed down peoples throat as much as they think because they can watch something else. Its people that hate watch when they know they won't like it so they can then post online or go on about how much they hate something, but they gave their viewership. They gave revenue. I don't understand that group.
