when trump did it purple hairs said it was "ummmmmm racist much?". and the tea party free marketeers were silent.

when biden does it the tea party free marketeers are mad, and the purple hairs are silent.

its almost like neither side has any real stances they care about.

The free marketers need to settle down because ultimately the lens of why this is happening is beyond just free market/economics. The geopolitical/industry protection/anti-dumping angle supersedes free market dynamics, and I hope most at least try to think about it from that perspective.

correct china hasnt been a free market for a long time. playing by the rules versus cheaters isnt virtuous, it's a waste of time. and china still needs us more than we need them, producers always need consumers more even if it's a delicate balance. we're also far along the line of being able to do what they do at cost via automation. shipping is become increasingly a cost issue as well as lead time.
