The spate of college campus protests against Israel and the pro-Israel counterdemonstrations have been accelerating around the country
Last night we had;

• NYPD Riot police storm Columbia University and cleared out the protesters occupying Hamilton Hall, breaching with a tactical ramp and arresting 100+, and filmed themselves lowering a Palestinian flag and raising an American flag on the flagpole in an over the top spectacle
  
• The LAPD sat back and let the UCLA protests descend into total chaos as anti-Israel and pro-Israel factions fought each other for hours before moving in just to break up the fighting, but not make arrests or restore order. Apparently the previous day the mob prevented a jewish student from attending class while demanding he denounce Israel, and attacked another jewish girl- followed by a group of masked counterdemonstrators attacking the protesters later that night with fireworks and pepper spray
  
• Portland's university library has been occupied and trashed (more than usual?) and even after PSU made the request to police and closed campus, there apparently simply aren't enough police left in portland and no neighboring counties will lend officers to that shithole
  
• Plenty of other universities all around the country have their own solidarity encampments to deal with and more potential trouble brewing. EX, the local U of M here has a tent city, but its not trashed and filled with drugs and hookers like the real Minneapolis tent camps so nobody cares

Of course this whole debacle sure puts legacy media into an awkward position, so its a bit of fun seeing how they report on it

alot of talk here in Montreal too with a pro-palestine protest on the mcgill university campus which seems to grow by the day.

Certain entitled people think that protesting is a cover for attacking people, physically and verbally. Breaking laws and generally being degenerate.

Left and right wing.

It makes a mockery of the right to protest.

Reminds me of the Occupy Wall days, but those mostly puttered out going into winter months and there was not much frictional opposition.

I'm a repeating record here, but the legacy media and YouTube/Google censorship on this one is sloppy, lazy, very apparent. Haven't had so many comments vanish before on other controversial topics. There ought to be some rules attached to social media sites presenting a public comment forum in regards to doctoring by omissions. Especially when it's federated.

Most are simply chuds who are out there for mutual brawling / rioting / vandalism, which has been a constant in the antifa vs proud boys, blm, gaza, israeli, etc mobs.
Its the responsibility of authorities to put them down by force and restore order, but then we get cowboy NYPD officers posing for videos as they put up a flag like its Iwo Jima

There is an irony in how rioters purposefully trying to be disruptive are less of a noxious presence than homeless drug addicts in their encampments a few miles away in these major cities. You have to smear a lot of shit on the library walls and have a few ODs and shootings before any chuds in masks can compare to whores on fentanyl

112,000 fentanyl overdoses in 2023 alone.

Didn't see a single protest. Left or right wing.

But orange man lose and couple thousand rednecks tear into the capitol building.

This is essentially the chickens coming home to roost. The decision makers in the DNC, with the help of their allies in the media, deliberately let the marxist genie out of the bottle years ago to help Obama, then doubled down on it to stymie Trump's presidency and knock him off in 2020.

Now, the spirits that they've summoned are running amok and hurting their own cause and the DNC and the Biden WH have no idea what to do about it.

This is one of the ironies of modern society.

Tragic outcomes are more common in rural areas.

But in the 1800's and onward cities became famous.

Starvation, etc. is much less common in cities. However, when the tragedy does exist in a city, it is right in front of your eyes, and you can see it in your immediate vicinity. As opposed to someone dying in a house in the middle of nowhere far from others.

Humans are more emotionally invested in tragedies that they can see firsthand.

The fentanyl tragedy is glossed over because we cant see the specific cases the same way we see homeless in the streets. China is getting away with genocide by proxy and the low propensity voters are ignoring it.
