For the low price of 1600/month you can get 300 sqft to live in in BC. I think its time to break out the pitchforks and start putting some heads on pikes.

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland toured a new building on Monday offering micro-apartments starting at $1,600 per month that she said was illustrative of the homes that her government is getting built for “low and middle income Canadians.”

Think it’s time for Canadians to realize that there’s other cities other than Toronto or Vancouver where they can live in. Lots of underdeveloped border lands that can become new cities where housing can be 1/2 the price. Probably should start with the canadian government encouraging both business and people migration to other cities outside the few large ones.

At some point the only ones who will not be *biiip* in the *biiip* are the very large owners.
All these people suffering from this housing crisis (whatever neo liberal gov is a bit shitty or not) will not vote for conservatives anyway.

Or renters can make better decisions and find land where you can get an acre for a month’s rent.

In just a three-month period last year, Canada added 430,635 new people — easily placing Canada among the top five fastest-growing countries on Earth. That’s an average of 5,000 newcomers per day.

This means that even if every single Hudson House unit ends up housing a family of five, it will account for just five hours’ worth of new immigration.

whew, guess the housing crisis isn't going anywhere up there
