"Safe" injection sites have proven to be anything but safe for the good decent folk who live near one of these abominations. Liberals still push this forward as part of their agenda to coddle drug addicts despite the danger these people pose to the local area.

What do our resident pardians make of safe injection sites? The only reason I'd support these is if they started giving out lethal injections to junkies to solve the problem once and for all.

This is a really good example of self selection and careerism working to corrupt the scientific process. The type of person who enters this field from the get go tends to be left-leaning, and the line between researcher and activist becomes increasingly blurred. At the same time, their livelihood depends on continued grants supporting these projects, and so self-interest comes into play. So despite overwhelming evidence that these projects have not worked as intended, the research/activists continue to insist it's a stellar success. After all, who are you going to believe, the "experts" or your own lying eyes?

Honestly don't really know what you do. Prison eats tax dollars, don't think work camps are making a comeback. Safe sites eat tax dollars.

Would I like to say toss all the degenerates into working roles for a net positive contribution to society, yes. But that's realistically not happening. I do think it could be done though in a positive manner but it would be a challenge.

Quote (Lee Kuan Yew)

They (Human Rights activities) assume if you are kind to drug peddlers, you build a better society. If you enter Singapore with kilos of drugs, it will destroy thousands of families. When the daughter or son, becomes an addict, you are killing that family every day for years and years. Against thousands of such deaths, one death (of the drug trafficker) is too kind.

I can support that for drug traffickers, its the junkies I don't know what you do with. Eventually once you eliminate the traffickers junkies should not exist.

But lets not pretend we can be Singapore. The USA and Canada are massive countries with huge boarders, tons of costal area. Singapore is one of the smallest countries in the world with a fraction of the population. Huge port country but still vastly easier to manage from a drug control perspective I'd imagine.

I don't think the statistics have shown that usage being legal has shown a major uptick in those seeking help or recovery programs which was the whole point of BC's initiatives. They were trying to eliminate the stigma.

I could be quite wrong but it certainly does not seem it's done much of what they were initially hoping.
