The gunman in yesterdays attack on Joel Osteen's megachurch in texas has been identified as a man named Jeffrey Escalante, who identified as 'Genesse Ivonne Moreno'. The transgender el salvadoran had written "Free Palestine" on his rifle and had a history of far-left posts on social media including some old Berniecrat support posts. The incident was reported as a white non-hispanic female shooter. A child brought by him to the church, of unknown relation, was injured and is in critical condition, and one 57 year old man attending the spanish-language service was shot in the leg. There's also apparently more to come, as "The shooter, identified as Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36, also made several statements during the course of the incident, but the officials declined to describe them.", and there are reports of him carrying unspecified "anti-semitic writings" on his person at the time of the attack, and had previously been involuntarily committed in 2016.

Did they hit anyone? Or did the cop just shoot a 7 year old kid and maybe some old guy in the leg or was that actually the shooter?

Just 2 months ago or so, the talking point that "priests are a much bigger danger for sexual child abuse/right-wingers are a much bigger terroristic threat than transgender persons" really started popping up everywhere, be it on social media, in webforums like jsp or even in the MSM. This has to be a record for how quickly a bullshit propaganda talking point falls apart in the light of real life events.

Mentally unstable people that instead of having their issues addressed have received wide-scale 'buy in' for their mental illness, and not only buy in but false affirmations that some specific people are to blame why the world is the way it is. I think these types of episodes will only increase with 30% of zoomers identifying as lgbtq and an economic environment that gets tougher as the debt actually starts to matter. Some large scale themes IMO will come together to make this more common place.

It was the shooter who shot the kid plus other guy, the off duty cops were well trained and neutralized the shooter

Didn't know that was confirmed. Every article is just quoting the police chief saying they don't know. I mean wasn't the kid with her, seems more likely an officer shot a kid to be honest.

Maybe. The timeline just says the officers return fire and the child fell to the ground shot in the head.

The issue is so entrenched that the only solution is comprehensive interpellation & comittal of these people
