We should have longer holidays around Christmas and major holidays. Getting one day sucks.

But that would hurt capitalism and be good for the average person so it'll never happen.

...Hehe having a lot of victimhood mentality is always fun hehe...or is it?...Hehe

It's not just fairy tales it's like many other legends, old stories, depictions of actual events, symbolic descriptions of astronomy or happenings in the skies, or natural disasters like the floods as consequence of things from the skies. This is the time when the days starts becoming longer again, sun was at its lowest point for three days "died" and now it is "resurrected". It is a celebration and appreciation of the sun, I think this tradition comes from.
