What is your opinion of this man?

I admire him for his free speech absolutism. He seems to really live up to his ideal, he allows all kinds of speech on X/twitter.

Recently he endorsed an allegedly antisemitic post, which caused a storm, resulting in the exodus of advertisers. In a recent interview, he said to those advertisers who pulled dollars from X, to "go fuck yourself". I mean I certainly feel his anger, but this is not appropriate behavior for a figure like him. He seems to be unable to contain his emotions in public. I mean, even I know not to call out people in real life like that and then tell them to go fuck themselves.

So my verdict of Elon Musk: I believe he's a truly good guy, but he needs to work on how to control his emotions.

Elon musk?

Never met him. Probably never will. Anything said about him that I read is in "1 ear out the other" type thing.

Saw him speak in one video tho seemed like he had other stuff on his mind, think maybe he was asked to a dance but he declined.

I would had busted a quick move. Then said back to work.

I mean at it's core, he doesn't seem to understand he can't compel another business to do business with him. No company owes him their advertising dollars.

Everybody seems to be talking about how big brands pulling their ad money from X/Twitter is a bad thing for the platform, but I disagree. I believe the correct strategy for Musk to take is to continue to allow all kinds of speech, including "hate speech" on his platform, because this will drive more traffic to the site. Users will see that they have true freedom of speech on the site, and also, other readers will be more drawn too because they get to hear a true diversity of views. Businesses will see how there is a vast audience on X, and realize that their ad dollars will be very well spent. Their continued ad spending will prop up Twitter and not only that, they will gain an advantage over the brands that have pulled ads, whose boycott has actually harmed their business interests because they have cut themselves off from a huge pool of customers.

Elon Musk is currently the richest public man alive and is the embodiment of fuck you money.

There could be sheikhs or some legacy family scions who are worth more than Musk, but they go to great lengths hiding their wealth. And I do mean great lengths with stuff like cross and reverse ownership of assets, blind /orphan trusts, family offices and a network of straw men all to ensure they are not flagged on any “richest” lists.

Some say Putin might be richer than Musk due to the sheer amount of power he wields over Russian decision making, although not much is directly registered in his name.

I know Indonesian Chinese who are fillthy rich in Cash and assets and not in stocks etc etc. Some of them are probably richer than Musk.
The Forbes top list of who's who is BS, the old money , corrupted money that are being hidden from public eyes are way more than what we know.

What is cross and reverse ownership of assets?

Some structures and jurisdictions allow subsidiary companies to hold shares in its holding company.

Cross - means that assets are held in sister companies that are cross owned by each other.

It’s mostly done to obfuscate true beneficiary ownership % of the people in charge.
