-Venezuelan family received $15,000 over a 6 month period just for getting up to Chicago but "couldn't make it work"
-"There's nothing here for US"
-"The American dream doesn't exist anymore"
-"Many residents expressed frustration about the millions of dollars the city was spending on migrant shelters instead of Chicago's most impoverished communities."
As someone who lives very close to Chicago I've seen these families just standing at random corners "totally lost". It's no surprise to them now that they were LIED too by the likes of Joe Biden and his gang of democrackhead buddies.
Maybe Chicago should've given 15 grand to homeless veterans or homeless people in general. Maybe should've helped out Chicago's most impoverished communities as stated above?
If you were given 15 grand could you find any old run-of-the-mill job and make it work in 6 months or less?
Notables from the 2nd article
-Governor J.B Pritzker begs Joe Biden to do something about all the migrants who will likely die in the cold winter if they don't go to a warmer state or back to their country of origin
If you are for all the immigration why not let these people into your home for a while?
Chicago is 95% democrats who love immigrants so what's the big problem?
If you are pro-immigration in the United States why don't other countries like China/Saudia Arabia take in immigrants?
Questions to ponder
If I was a migrant worker with 15-grand in Idaho, I could easily make that work in under a week. Theoretically, I'd buy a reliable vehicle, get a job, and rent an apartment. Realistically, I'd be forced to buy a car via private sale. Afterword's, I'd quickly find out that nobody would hire me (except under-the-table trash), no school would accept me, and nobody would rent to me. Ideally, I'd send the 15 grand to my family and continue doing things the way they have always been done.
If I was a migrant worker with 15-grand in Chicago, I could easily make that work in under a week. Theoretically, I'd buy a reliable vehicle, get a job, and find a place to live with roommates. Realistically, the sanctuary city laws should allow me to do that. Realistically, I would need to learn to read, write and speak English at a 5th grade level like the Average American. An employee who speaks English is acceptable for all businesses, a bilingual employee is a huge boon, and a non-English speaking employee is undesirable.
