Abortion measure in Ohio passed
Virginia state and house won
Kentucky governor won

Looks like the democratic brand isn't in jeopardy, only Joe Biden. Why are democrats doing so good in elections lately?

weird post-trump political realignment where dems overperform in midterms instead of republicans.

reproductive rights keep proving a hard loss issue for republicans. it's almost like women simply don't want religious nutjobs telling them what they can and can't do - who would have thought?!

mid-midterm politics always get so weird.

2022 was an oil check for Biden's whitehouse, 2023 just seems to be an oil check for the general electorate.

a blue Ohio means 2024 is already over, but who knows if it's really that blue.

Wisconsin is POTUS elec purple, but deadlocked red in the state senate. so state politics get wonky.

either way congrats ohio floozies, dont over use the power you've been given.

republicans rly need to allow abortion up to a certain point, it's clearly a losing voting issue.

hard lines of no abortion = unpopular with voters which is political suicide for the republican party

Regardless of the nominee, is a republican white house really what anyone needs? The GOP internal strife is a shitshow.

The big question for me is, does Biden have the self awareness to realise he is too old to run again? If yes, who could possibly replace him?

If no, the vice president position is hugely important as JB could go down at any time.

I think all democrats are waiting for an alternate candidate to step forward
