Apparently Scientology does not permit reporting any members to law enforcement. This has led to everybody’s favorite hippie getting sentenced to thirty years after two women came forward about being violently raped by the guy. Their cult brainwashed them into thinking it was their fault and they weren’t allowed to report it until recently when they dirtied their brains enough to find some rationality.

the weirdest thing about scientology to me is the lack of pay off. christians, muslims, and jews believe in an afterlife, as do many other religions. religions that believe in reincarnation act morally to climb the respawn ladder. scientologists are just in some weird reincarnation loop where your thoughts are controlled by your past lives in an endless cycle until some weird cthulu monster reclaims earth and you all melt into a wierd soup blend. why bother to pay to worship that?

the real story in this case is the friends who wrote letters on his behalf for sentencing, which was odd. such an own goal, dude was going down regardless why tank yourself to MAYBE shave a few years off a decades long sentence?
