And one of the rules for my party is that any member elected to public office has to voluntarily disclose his personal account/s, and not just the ones he has in the States, but all of the accounts he owns in other Western countries.
I want to do this because I want to eradicate greed and corruption in our elected officials. I don't want to produce politicians who are bought and paid for, who will sell out to the highest bidder. We have enough of those already. This new rule will restore people's faith in politics. I want people to know that the candidates my party puts forth will have all incomes clearly documented. All his incomes can be seen and explained. If someone tries to buy him by giving him large sums of money, we will be able to see it right away.
This has another benefit: it will force the competitors to adopt a similar rule if they want to compete with us. I figure that once the public has a taste of transparency of this kind, they are going to demand the same of all the other politicians. So now, our competitors will have to do the same thing just to keep up with us. So, not only do I eradicate corruption among my party members, I also eradicate it in the entire political arena.
