And one of the rules for my party is that any member elected to public office has to voluntarily disclose his personal account/s, and not just the ones he has in the States, but all of the accounts he owns in other Western countries.

I want to do this because I want to eradicate greed and corruption in our elected officials. I don't want to produce politicians who are bought and paid for, who will sell out to the highest bidder. We have enough of those already. This new rule will restore people's faith in politics. I want people to know that the candidates my party puts forth will have all incomes clearly documented. All his incomes can be seen and explained. If someone tries to buy him by giving him large sums of money, we will be able to see it right away.

This has another benefit: it will force the competitors to adopt a similar rule if they want to compete with us. I figure that once the public has a taste of transparency of this kind, they are going to demand the same of all the other politicians. So now, our competitors will have to do the same thing just to keep up with us. So, not only do I eradicate corruption among my party members, I also eradicate it in the entire political arena.

What do you think?

What if they don't use personal accounts and lie about their foreign ones?

Not to mention, bribes at that level are probably rarely just a large lump sum of money. More like if you vote how we want we will get you a 200k advance on a book no one will ever read, a bunch of speaking engagements at 50k each, your kids will get into whatever school you want etc etc

There will always be some level of corruption in government IMO, you can limit it but this also comes at a cost, the more draconian your enforcement of anti corruption laws is, the less appealing working in government becomes

I don't think Canada has the economic weight to compete with anyone of significance. The US certainly wouldn't care, except perhaps to start blackmailing Canadian politicians and supporting those it gets a hook into. Most likely Russia and China would follow suit. Here you can have some funds in our state owned bank that doesn't have to share data with your government so noone will ever know kinda shit.

I'm all for transparency though. Only the military should have any secrets, and only because if your military has no secrets you might as well not have a military.

The drummer from slipknot got almost two million votes in the 2020 general in America and the libertarians still have to fight tooth and nail just to get on the ballot.

Good luck.

Crypto exists. Also just do it.

You might need some policies in there and actual track record of delivering results not just promises and you might get further than a meme status online.

Good luck.

Politics is not what America was built on, Politicians are not who run the country.

Representatives elected by the people in our constitutional republic is what america was built on and who run the country for the people.
^^^^^^

It deeply concerns me that people do NOT understand this as the absolute truth.
