That's hard to call. I know a lot of 80+ year olds that are functioning well.
100 - 150 years ago, I would have said maybe 70 years old for an age limit.

I think it has to be on a case by case basis. As long as the doctor or board making the call isn't politically motivated.

Biden is definitely gone... no matter his politics. Trump on the other hand seems to still be doing OK.
Some may not "like" his politics, but he is still functioning.

Some of the Senators and Reps should be removed. But I can't really comment on which, as I don't see them "performing" that often.
Then there's some that should be removed, no matter what their age, cause they're insane or at least headed that way...

Like anyone calling for riots, etc... we really don't need people like these.






I think we have some problems with our political system. Like trying to oust a judge cause he slept with a college girl, when he was in college. Now that's purely political.
A lot of this me too crap should be done away with as well.
As for McConnell... again, I don't see him speaking all that often so it's hard to say.

Yet Trump is 77, personally put a limit at 75 because it's not about being just being "functional"... There's alot of work, alot of meetings, it's very stressful along with no mistake allowed.

normally i'd say "that's voting", but its not as simple as that. the GOP or DNC select the candidate, so we can't vote for youth unless we vote for another party. i dont think making an age limit of say 75 is a terrible idea, for potus and all senate/congress. can't run if you're 75, even if it's your 2nd term. let the dust settle on that where it may, parties will adapt and only let 66 year olds run for potus max.

the other option for "case by case" is a constant system of impeachments and removals, and that's a nasty ass mess.

I was thinking more like a 2nd supreme court (board) appointed for life (so hard to bribe), that could just vote on a case by case basis, in reference to abilities.

At that point Scotus#2 is just a rubber stamp for doctors who do an independent analysis. which is very open to corruption. voters must demand old people dont get the nomination, but the DNC and GOP wont listen. half of winning a race is someone knowing your name before the race starts, it gives a false sense of stability which in reality just stagnates issues and has more corruption from lobbyists. term limits would help but not fix everything, i see little to no bad things about an upper term limit. get out the dinosaurs.
