Hello. I know that there can be some sort of public consultation process for a new law. I wish to find out how to get involved and to give my thoughts on the development of the regulations for a laws that has recently received royal assent. Can someone give me a link or point me in the right direction please? Or even just how to google it. I googled, "consultation process for ____" but didn't find much. Thank you.

I am not necessarily talking about emailing the government, although I did send a few emails before, and each time I got a reply. I don't think they trash every email they receive from regular people.

they have a copy/paste reply they send u. then they dont even think about the email u sent. u think the govt cares what us normal people think?

I don't know if the government cares or not, but I know for a fact that our government hosts public consultation processes for new laws. Maybe it's different in your country.

Also, it wasn't a copy pasta at all. I sent out 2 emails to 2 different agencies with the same content and I got 2 totally different replies. Although truth be told, they weren't very helpful.

The government definitely reads emails I got a personal response from the Liberal MP I dressed down for supporting Ukraine. He wasn't too happy with my position but he did as I asked.
