As like with many beliefs and nonbeliefs and even with long held ideas, we may stop ourselves from exploring the foundation(s) that pull us to embrace and to profess our beliefs (or lack of beliefs) and our long held ideas without investing in exploring the people and the communities that we may place our crosshairs upon.
Satanism, well, the non-supernatural forms, is one of the many paths to letting go of hate and of self-hate. It is not my path, yet it is a path which has helped people from different backgrounds.
I am not a Satanist by any measure. If I were pressed to identify as one thing, I would identify as a secular humanist, which is a large umbrella that includes people of faith and people who identify as spiritual and which promotes acts and ideas which are focused on lessening the suffering of others regardless of their identity(ies) andthere is a focus on treating people with compassion and equality, just to name a few.
Anyway... If you are bitten, explore this article.
Tiny suggestion: Do not let the things which are mentioned in the article, things which may be born from a lack of respect for that which is not Satanism, be upsetting or off-putting. Explore as you would explore a song and see if there is something which you did not know and if there are insights which may add to your knowledge of our kooky, yet wondrous species:
