Been reading about the latest leaked documents and it seems substantial (more than snowden) but some apparently were edited to appear even more disturbing than they really were. Some US Allie’s are pissed off obviously. But how much damage will this leak accomplish? Will the US lose Allies over it? Will this cause a war if the US finds the perpetrator was part of an espionage scheme?

How will this play out do you think?

Can't know, there's alot of fake/false informations inthere. Unreliable, would not jump on conclusions.

not a huge deal imo. israel, china, russia, iran, india, and many other countries have nation-state groups that are actively spying on/gathering information on the US. I think its almost accepted that everyone is trying to collect information from everyone all the time (allies and enemies). I dont think we lose any allies over it but they might trust us a little less. this shit has been going on for decades

If EU / US Allies did nothing after the PRISM outrage. They won't do anything now. They are beyond cucked.
Which is a good thing for the US.

its more precise to state that everyone already knows for years now that the US spies on its allies, rigs elections in its allies countries etc. France, Italy, Ukraine, you name it. so really there is nothing to see here.

They are going to rig French elections soon after Marcon China visit.
But they will be torn between Marcon and Le Pen.

When US officials make a stink about urging people to not share the information, it gives quite a bit of credibility.

You can't have certainties since documents have been modified, doctored, and some even created eventually. Only " a bit " of credibiity on things you don't know so it's useless.

Documents just show what anyone with a brain already knew
