Not required reading...
I am not looking forward to the chaos that has, is, and will ensue as Donald Trump is indicted.
The trouble that I have is not with the indictment as I am one of those who is surprised that he. his family, as well as those who enable him are not already serving time.
Don't get me wrong, I am not for Biden, either. But, this is not a posting about Biden.
If anyone knows the Republican party, they know that Donald has little to nothing to do with its history nor with the party's "soul"/identity. Donald's rhetoric and actions epitomize those of a deceptive snake which has cloaked itself and which has convinced far too many people that it is an angel sent from the Christian God. Donald, literally, not figuratively, can do anything to harm our societies and that nothing comes of it. That is quite something and ought to raise many red flags.
Yet, this posting is not even about that. The Republican party has had an exceptional past. Along its path, a shift happened. I do not know when that shift towards ennobling hate happened. Prior to this shift and for many, many years, the Republican party was respected by most Americans as well as by the rest of the world's people who happened to be passionate about history. Since the emergence of Donald, the world is observing a Rebublican party which has set sail without an anchor, nor rudder, and with torn sails into a storm of its own making.
I am not looking forward to the chaos which Donald has masterfully prepared the stage for. He is without any doubt a threat to the freedoms of both Republicans and Democrats alike.
May Republicans come out of this harmful deception that Trump has ensnared many with so as to reclaim their historical identity of truly being for the people. I am a dreamer/wishful thinker.
