do you never stop to think for one second why this wasnt an issue at all during 45ths time in office but now that its an election year its a problem
and if you say the immigration is such a problem then whats your opinion on the republicans publicly advocating against voting on a bipartisan bill that would help to address the border concerns that states have?
Do you think its smart that 45th and maga hogs are saying that congress shouldnt pass a bill to help with the border 'crisis' simply because it would 'help Biden' and make him look good?
States don't have "border concerns", they have a border crisis created by the willful incompetence of the Biden administration.
"Closing" the border when crossings exceed 1,400,000 annually isn't a solution. That needs to be put in parentheses, because 500,000+ per year would still be allowed through via ports of entry. Proposing that law enforcement find some way to monitor hundreds of thousands of ankle bracelets isn't a solution.
The President can begin by enforcing laws which he has intentionally undermined. Congress should pass narrow legislation which specifically restricts the President's authority to parole migrants, ends catch and release, and reforms the asylum process. These aren't negotiating points, if the Democratic party will not go along it should and will go to the ballot box.
