They say most relationships have a reacher and a settler. Trophy husbands are obvs a thing. :(
In sociology we're taught that 5's tend to get with 5's, 7's with 7's, 9's with 9's, and 3's with 3's. A standard deviation of 1 isn't unusual in either direction. The metric is obviously different and culturally relativistic.

My five year plan is ending with the start of my PhD. It is a lot of work, chica is killing it. There are a few other professional goals I need to hit before then, and honestly hash out what the subject of my work will be all about for those years. It will probably be based on individual health care outcomes based on accessibility of mental health services with regards to regional concerns, particularly comparing and contrasting the urban and suburban Southwest Ohio counties (Hamilton and Clermont; Butler to a lesser degree) with the rural SE counties (Brown, Fayette, Highland, Pike, Scioto counties).
I'm not gonna lie, the Medicaid expansion in my state is a lifesaver. I mean that in the most literal sense. I love my job, and I would probably hate it if I couldn't get any of my poor patients primary care physicians, psychiatry, and therapy for when they get back out into the world. People lose control sometimes and that isn't pretty. Or have genuine psychotic breaks, which is okay and manageable with the right medicine. But if that medicine is $300 a month instead of a $20 copay? They are going to be wondering down the street naked with severely religious preoccupations and the police will be dropping them off.
Your wife is a medical doctor, ask her what she thinks about whether or not people should have health insurance as the rule instead of as privilege. She is a family doctor and would have a truly informed opinion....ask her to think about all the sick kids she wouldn't have been able to diagnose and give medicine to, or their parents who are living paycheck to paycheck for that matter. If you are anywhere near Southwest Ohio ask her if she is taking new patients (lol).
