If Trump had any talent as an orator, or even the smallest amount of nuanced thinking, he could overcome these easy objections.

Yeah. Trump is more like George Bush. Ultimately dumb and easy to manipulate, but "charming", or whatever you want to call it, to the working man.

Talent as an orator helps sell the message though.

Also, it's not a falacious answer, it's the truth. We would be harming American interests by straining our relationship with Saudi Arabia more than the countries that are currently banned. Same with Egypt.

However if he's going to say that he's protecting America he went half-assed by not banning from other extreme countries that the right has been up in arms above in the past year or so.
