10-20 years ago literally all muslim nations thought the same. very few remain an open enemy of Israel.

To be fair, rapprochement with Israel is mostly a top-down project by the Arab elites; the common people in most ME countries still hate Israel/Jews with a passion.

thus is the problem in both gaza and the west bank. both of those regions draw their power from jewish hate, whereas the other regions skirt jewish hate and have actual power with petrodollar backing. palestine is a massive martyr farm, and is unlikely to change any time soon regardless of the results of this war. its one of the reason i rolled my eyes in the early parts of the thread when people posted nonsense like "if israel does x, y, or z they'll never get peace". peace was never on the table, even if every nation but Iran openly signed the Abraham accords. gaza is bent on the destruction of israel, not just independence, but it's destruction. they'd gladly shut off their own water and power if it meant israeli citizens died.
