Yes they do. It's fun watching how this fact has been spun round to your favour since the story broke.

Trump says he is issuing a ban on countries that are an Islamic terror risk to the US.

People point out that this ban doesn't cover the countries from which nearly all Islamic Terrorists that have carried out attacks on US soil hailed.

Somehow now that's a good thing because it proves it's not just a ban on Muslims?

Your guy is an ignorant bigot. He just wants to be seen to be banning some brown people. Like all his recent executive orders they are aimed at shoring up the support of the morons who voted for him. It's working too. Comments like 'look how much he has done' are pretty common atm when in reality he's just fobbing you all off with bullshit like this.

Not a statistical argument.

Omar Mateen's massacre wouldn't have happened if this were in place.

Are you purposely being daft?

Every single country included in the ban is in turmoil besides Iran. Iran is included in that list because of Israels/Sunni Arabs pandering. I challenge you to google current events & conflicts in those countries and you will see how glaringly obvious it is. I mean are you really that detached from reality to not understand why people coming from Syria, Iraq, Lybia, Yemen could be a danger? Those places are active war zones with a flavor of militant Islam that blames the west, why wouldn't we want to take a second and make sure our vetting is sufficient? Why are people so vocal in fighting this when we look at places like France and see attack after attack by Islamist extremists that would love to do the same to their arch nemesis the US.

But its not french retardism, its quintessential british. And its very (most likely unintentionally) ironic when applied to Trump, since Gillray was mocking how the press was being sycophantically adoring, when modern treatment of trump draws such a 'fashionable contrast'

Gillray was a british political cartoonist, basically the father of the art, who created the famous cartoon called "Fashionable Contrasts". It was ridiculing how the media of his present day was being ridiculously adoring of the duchess and fawning over her, particularly idolizing her petite frame and tiny feet, her most well known feature. Hence his cartoon wasn't simply mocking her small feet, but was directed at how she was being represented in the media, drawing that distinct british strain of irreverence by showing her small elegant feet getting rammed by the duke.

Trump is quite the opposite ridiculed as having small hands and being crucified by the media, so the context of the historical parallel is quite ironic, something thats both lost on you and the guy at the guardian who drew it.
