I will be shocked if he's convicted under those charges and they stick. While you take all of this very seriously, you have to understand that most of the country sees this as emblematic of the weaponization of law.
A coup is to overthrow a government with force. Trump told his supporters he thought the vote was rigged and asked them to protest peacefully outside of Congress while he exhausted every legal and constitutional means available to him. Unseemly, for sure, but entirely legal unseemly behavior nonetheless.
So look at this the other way.
If pence had not verified the results of the elections. And trump chosen and identified “electors” that he had chosen to ignore the US election
And claimed by some overriding default Trump

If yes that’s an issue . Trump was behind that happening he TRIED to make this happen. I don’t know what your missing here. If no then you don’t believe in the constitution.
