terrorism isnt terrifying because of the body count. it's terrifying because it's happening in grocery stores, restaurants, schools, concerts, public transport, etc. something most of us do on a weekly or even daily basis. it's unsettling not because you think you will be attacked, its terrifying because no where seems entirely safe. as compared to years past when people died in combat zones and most of "white america" was a safe place.
