What do you guys think about the image going around of Trump and Israel PM tweeting at the same time to give their condolences? Probably a nothing burger since nobody would be this dumb. There's also conspiracies coming out that the actual shooter fled on a helicopter and the kids a fall guy. It does kind of all sound too easy with the way he was "caught".

Discord has echo chambers just like any social media platform. You responded to someone who said they've seen worse people on this forum than on discord.

Plenty of JSPers use discord actively to play games too

Honestly at this point mental health isn’t just a disability it’s also endangering the public. These people are completely unhinged and motivated by emotion and misunderstandings. (Meaning they cannot comprehend that everyone is welcome to an opinion even if they are wrong)

But I feel as though while the child is growing that their teachers/parents should be able to have their student/child subject to a psyche evaluation at any moment throughout a time frame that be discussed. But would this be the freedom that the US stands for ? There has to be a centralist ground to all of these problems.

I’m pro Trump and can sit here and scream “radical leftist” etc etc but I’d much rather find a end game solution to this problem because it’s happened on both sides and it’s no longer a political/religious issue but a mental issue.

Unlike reddit, bluesky, etc nobody turns PARD into an echo chamber by banning out all the users of the opposing tribe. There is a pretty enormous tolerance for a range of views. Instead we've seen a shift from three concurrent factors:

• The average American shifted to the political right, more supportive of Republican mainstream positions, which are more popular and win elections. And embrace civil discourse and debate.
  
• The left in America became more radicalized and militant and embraced extremist positions, and their fervor leads them to engaging in personal misconduct that gets them banned for content neutral reasons. Ex, threatening other users, calling for violence, posting gore, posting rage essays at mods and other e-drama
  
• As the tilt favors one side, the other side naturally evaporates as they feel their arguments fail, and they retreat to echo chambers of their own, but since theirs don't occur organically they must be enforced by censorship

a lot of centerists and right wing folks hailed him ask the king of free speech and 2a. in some realm of possibility he very well could have been used (sadly) as a martyr for some sort of civil war cause.

He was important enough for a lot of folks to get fired over their opinions on the matter and outshadowed a school shooting from the same day.
