global warming is about there being so many gasses in the atmosphere that doesn't belong there... metane...co2... ect, and that acting like a barrier keeping the suns energy from bouncing off Earth and going back into space, keeping more of it than the previous more balanced atmosphere did.... creating a situation where the Earth steadily gets warmer and warmer...

acid rain is a byproduct of those gasses being in the atmosphere... but it isn't a part of global warming or its theories.

It's really due to global warming, specifically the amount of co2 in the atmosphere. More co2 in the atmosphere means the oceans get more carbonic acid dissolved in them and pH decreases.



Well, that's not really true, but the same pollution sources that once contributed to acid rain also contribute to increased co2 levels.
