Rent a hotel for each patient and let them wait there to prevent spread. It would probably be twice as cheap as a hospital too.

The Jacob Javitz center was the only temp hospital used afaik.

Post 9601 is a link I gave. It's easy to find any number of sources because it was very talked about in April.

That would definitely be better than a tent city, but even the largest hotel in New York only has 1900 rooms, so they would have needed to take out a ton of hotels, and would have needed a huge amount of staffing to take care of the patients. These aren't just elderly people, they're elderly people recovering from Covid who can't stay in the hospital for an additional 2 weeks.

Taking emergency measures to turn hotels might have been viable, but its not a silver bullet.

i read your link it (thats how i was able to do a excerpt of it) doesnt actually say he wasnt allowed to use the ship for covid.

agreed, Cuomo had many options but putting covid patients in with the most vulnerable is rediculous and he should be arrested

if i remember correctly their was also a temporary hospital put up in the park that was never used
