Why? Can just drive or catch a quick flight to any neighboring state to get the abortion.

eh while true lefties think minorities and immigrants are “incapable” of getting an id or license, which is usually required to fly or drive

He has a core, unequaled sick core doing like 20% of voters. This is a winning ticket for primaries.
Anyone republican trying to steal his base will be flamed. What a fantastic shit-show.

This is a meaningless post. Trump didn't win the 2016 primary because of any "core". He won the 2016 primary because he chased his primary contender (JEB) out of the race, and out of those remaining, nobody liked Ted Cruz.

Note: In most states, ONLY those voters registered to a party can vote in that party's primaries. Meaning, Turmp's support among Independents is meaningless. ONLY Republican voters matter.

If DeSantis runs in 2024, he's very well liked and very well respected among republicans. There's a very real chance that the Trump-style "attack attack attack" campaign style would lose him supporters, if he points it at DeSantis.

u can certainly argue that Trump's core in the primary was already well established. the truth is all he had to do was LOUDLY call for action against illegal immigration and the liberal media and he had a core of people with undying loyalty.

Still cant be sure if Jeb left the race because he felt it was going to get too dirty for him and his family (and he was right if so) or if he just thought losing to trump was a career ender and likely (also right if so). likely both.

The border issue was only one of many. Border, school choice, cutting back on foreign spending in favor of domestic spending, attempting to end overseas conflicts and nation building, an end to either the ACA or at the very least the individual mandate... His core policy issues resonated very very strongly.

Yet in the end, none of that was what chased JEB off. He simply couldn't take the "Low Energy JEB" jabs, and couldn't speak on his feet. Any time he tried to get a point out, Trump smashed him flat. JEB may well be a good statesman, but he's a shitty debater. :P

i think more realistically Trump made disastrous foreign wars a big part of his campaign which means Jeb would have to constantly answer for his brother, hit father, and his father's cronies. spending a whole primary on defense of ur family isnt appealing at all and he's young enough to run later, low energy or not. in the current climate low energy might be just what the GOP needs to grab suburban moderates. gl painting the guy with a latina wife and 12 heart beats per minute as an angry racist libs.

I think he told the Democrats to stop counting fictitious votes.
