So when Cuomo says he doesn't need the ship, he isn't saying he couldn't use it. He's saying since it is limited to treating non-covid patients he doesn't need it. If it could be used to treat Covid patients, he would use it.

So we agree the hospital ship wasnt an option to house the recovering elderly covid patients instead of sending them back to the nursing homes.
