One picture on the ground is becoming clear and it is that a lot of the Russian force in and around Ukraine are conscripts, they are having to feed themselves, wash uniforms with radiators in buildings, and are pack into places sleeping like sardines on linoleum.
That can't be a very motivated invasion force. There won't be a hot war in Ukraine with these guys.

He isn't remotely interested in Eastern EU, do you still not get it. Putin has had enough of NATO encroaching on Russia and he's sending a strong message after exhausting all other means.
They've voiced their concerns for decades and were completely ignored. Their last ditch effort to solve the issue via negotiations was immediately torpedoed by the Biden administration and NATO calling Russia's security demands a non starter.
BTW, types like you have been shitting on Russia non-stop because Russians aint woke and guess what frenchie, they never gonna be purple haired woke clowns so you might as well give up.
Don't act like you knew anything about this stuff before two months ago.
You can't even name the security concern that Russia is talking about. Hint: It is a geographic feature of their country.
Russia is a big gas station and their security concerns have been addressed in the region of Ukraine in their occupation of Donbass and the other regions. Now they will get to see if it was worth the sanctions. Too bad Russian government is a kleptocracy.
This isn't about NATO moving east, because NATO is a defensive force.
Your claim that countries don't have the right to self-defense is plain wrong. And that claim is the basis of your logic.
You saying that Russia has the right to attack and occupy surrounding countries because they've behaved in ways over time that have made their neighbors fear them and band together for safety is the stupidest thing I've ever seen on this forum. Congrats, you've finally won at something.
