I don't expect this to get any further coverage since it doesn't fit the convenient "Hillary Clinton is baaaaaaaad" or "this raises serious questions about Hillary Clinton's trustworthiness" templates employed by the political press, but Judicial Watch's Benghazi-related fishing expedition turned up absolutely nothing, to the surprise of absolutely no one who has actually followed this. Lazy media personalities breathlessly "reported" on how the FBI recovered thousands of "new" emails that had previously not been submitted to the FBI as part of previous State Department submissions, without somehow making people aware of the fact that most would either: 1) be personal in nature, so they wouldn't be relevant (and crucially wouldn't be subjected to the FOIA), 2) would be copies of previously-seen emails that WERE submitted, 3) completely innocuous, or 4) worse for Republican critics of Clinton, would actually exonerate her from their ridiculous accusations or conspiracy theories.

So the first batch was released. Only 30 were deemed "related" to Benghazi at all, and only one of them was not previously produced. And worse for Clinton's critics: it was a flattering note that was sent to Clinton by a diplomat, praising her for her 2013 testimony before the Senate panel. 2 other emails were deemed "near duplicates." This perfectly encapsulates why this entire thing is just one big nothingburger; the idea that this is some big issue is just laughable.



Tim Kaine would make an excellent president; we'll be very fortunate if we get him as Vice President and then he's able to run for the White House himself. I hope to see him serve as president after Clinton gets to serve for one or two terms; I don't know if we could do better than Tim Kaine as president for the time that we live in.

The bitch lied about what was going on in an effort to draw attention away from Obama's foreign policy right before an election. I mean really, can you actually point out where people think she actually committed a crime related to her lying about Benghazi?

Benghazi as it is now is the largest taxpayer funded GOP candidate fundraiser in the history of the United States.

You're still regurgitating talking points that were discredited back in 2013 by several of the Republicans' own investigations. Clinton did not "lie" about "what was going on;" that's not going to magically become the truth no matter how many times you repeat it.

There has been no shortage of crimes that conservatives/wingnuts/cranks have accused Clinton of here, everything from the email setup to faking a concussion to avoid providing testimony to a Senate panel, from specific allegations of coverups to broad allegations of treason. It's no one in the reality-based community's job to separate out their nonsensical claims even if it is to swat them down. For almost exactly 4 years now the GOP and their supporters have been lobbing an endless supply of discredited Bengazhi talking points and CTs at the wall strictly to help them avoid having to do their actual job in Congress.
