That is the most ridiculous prediction I've ever seen. She might run but she'll get less delegates than Amy Klobuchar.

I'd like to see how AOC's eyes would fair in a BLIZZARD!

IF Biden loses this November, the whole party will be a trainwreck and in colllective meltdown.

No they won't. The real talent in the DNC has stayed out of these election and are focused more on 2024. Trump would have to fuck up pretty bad to lose. Joe Biden was nominated so that Democrats could survive in the House and Senate and do things like flip Texas.

Sanders might have beaten Trump but the party would have been toast down card in a lot more races that they are competitive in. It is just weird for a sitting president to lose. Now that Epstein is dead Trump doesn't have to worry i don't think.

Even with Trumps bungling of covid his supporters will doublethink and just say it isn't real anyway. By fall the summer dip will occur and we will be pre second wave probably so he will probably even get lucky again with the economy.

And AOC as nominee? That is a bad prediction.

I'm half-joking, lol. Like I said, if they lose to Trump again, they will collectively lose their mind and some of the straw men from the right will be adopted by the Democrats in earnest. "They're gonna nominate AOC for president, trololol" is just a prominent example.

Btw, they were already close this primary season when Castro proposed free abortions for transgender women and Beto said "hell yes, we're gonna come for your guns". In this day and age, both sides have a habit of turning into the malicious, mocking memes the other side made about them a couple of years earlier. I'm sure there were some liberals at the height of the birther movement in 2011 jokingly saying "The GOP is gonna nominate Trump for president, lol. .... and knowing my fellow Americans, he might actually will roflmao".

I think that's the primaries being the primaries. Every candidate says some pretty outrageous things that aren't serious and are meant to distinguish themselves. I remember back in 2008, Tom Trancredo said that he would threaten to nuke Mecca in order to defeat terrorism. This always happens with the losers who are trying to break out.

what i think is funny is when Lindsay Graham said in order to defeat ISIS he'd put boots on the ground and finish them then occupy to see through a better govt, and it was taken as one of those shock and awe statements. rand at the same time only begrudgingly supported bomber runs, anti-war sentiments were so hot in 2016. then fast forward a few years and Trump is taking shit for pulling troops out.

It's really interesting how you, who hates Trump, are still so confident in his reelection while I, one of his staunchest defenders, have increasingly lost faith.

Maybe. My point about many straw men eventually coming to life is still valid.

Well, the boots on the ground against ISIS argument referred to Syria, while Trump took shit for pulling out troops in Afghanistan without having gotten any kind of worthwhile peace treaty.
I dont think it's thaaat hard to explain why the country doesnt want to send its soldiers into new conflicts after the horrible experiences of the last 2 decades, but at the same time isnt thrilled about effectively admitting defeat in Afghanistan.

To an extent, I believe this is by design. I think part of the reason Trump's not blasting CNN, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, etc. for not airing the full and unedited daily press briefings, only out of context clips and their opinions on what happened, aka the "Here's what you should think" narrative is to foster this feeling.

The more of Trump's base that believes he has been treated unfairly, or that the "socialists are going to win" or whatever else, the more that'll show up to vote in November.

It doesn't really matter that full coverage of the Briefings can be found on CSpan or whitehouse.gov, or even on youtube. All that matters is the perception that the media has grown so powerful, so corrupt, and so anti-American that they can actively prevent a sitting President from conveying information directly to the people.

Genuine question: who is the supposed "real talent in the DNC that has stayed out this year"?

I fail to see any strong candidates in the making.

trump was also criticized for questioning why we're in Syria, not just his actual troop withdraw from Afghanistan. he was prepared to cede the country to Assad and Putin.
