No they won't. The real talent in the DNC has stayed out of these election and are focused more on 2024. Trump would have to fuck up pretty bad to lose. Joe Biden was nominated so that Democrats could survive in the House and Senate and do things like flip Texas.
Sanders might have beaten Trump but the party would have been toast down card in a lot more races that they are competitive in. It is just weird for a sitting president to lose. Now that Epstein is dead Trump doesn't have to worry i don't think.
Even with Trumps bungling of covid his supporters will doublethink and just say it isn't real anyway. By fall the summer dip will occur and we will be pre second wave probably so he will probably even get lucky again with the economy.
And AOC as nominee? That is a bad prediction.
It's really interesting how you, who hates Trump, are still so confident in his reelection while I, one of his staunchest defenders, have increasingly lost faith.

I think that's the primaries being the primaries. Every candidate says some pretty outrageous things that aren't serious and are meant to distinguish themselves. I remember back in 2008, Tom Trancredo said that he would threaten to nuke Mecca in order to defeat terrorism. This always happens with the losers who are trying to break out.
Maybe. My point about many straw men eventually coming to life is still valid.

what i think is funny is when Lindsay Graham said in order to defeat ISIS he'd put boots on the ground and finish them then occupy to see through a better govt, and it was taken as one of those shock and awe statements. rand at the same time only begrudgingly supported bomber runs, anti-war sentiments were so hot in 2016. then fast forward a few years and Trump is taking shit for pulling troops out.
Well, the boots on the ground against ISIS argument referred to Syria, while Trump took shit for pulling out troops in Afghanistan without having gotten any kind of worthwhile peace treaty.
I dont think it's thaaat hard to explain why the country doesnt want to send its soldiers into new conflicts after the horrible experiences of the last 2 decades, but at the same time isnt thrilled about effectively admitting defeat in Afghanistan.
