You're misunderstanding what the negative correlation implies. On days where Israeli is attacking (targeting fighters), you'd expect to see a positive correlation between men killed and non-combatants. The reasoning is simple, when Israel is trying to kill fighters, there are going to also be incidental deaths. That isn't what the Hamas-published numbers suggest. They imply that on days where fewer men are killed (than normal), more women are killed instead. That makes sense only if Israel is intentionally trying to kill non-combatants and not kill Hamas men.
I appreciate your acknowledgement (bold) that "men" and "fighters" are synonymous, i.e. all Gazan men are Hamas.

I think you are viewing this as if it were happening in whatever country you are from and not a warzone where the means of clearing rubble and retrieving bodies is severely limited, it is not going to be a smooth process and it is insane to think it would be. Thousands upon thousands of civilians have been killed, the IDF and the US government both rely on these numbers that supposedly make no sense according to an online Israel activist. A guy who purposefully skewed his stats to make them appear more linear than they actually are so people who don't understand stats would look at it and say "gee that looks suspicious!"
Israel is using AI technology to mass target "hostiles" with a 5 to 1 casualty ratio baked in as acceptable, they don't even know who they are targeting half the time and besides that the idea that Israel is intentionally targeting civilians is not even slightly strange , they have and will continue to do so openly while people like the author of the article you posted muddy the waters enough to make it seem palatable to western audiences.
Why stop at all men? Aren't you in the boat of all Palestinians deserve what they get?
