basically the "democ"rats have proven you can be completely out of reality yet still produce believable political theatre that a drunken world populus will digest willingly.

Too bad Joe didn't chum up to Musk, he could benefit from neuralink alpha tech. At least his puppet master would have better control.

Man you've devolved into a republican talking point dispenser at this point. You used to at least pretend to be neutral. Now you just repeat everything uncritically.

Lol what?! YOU are the one who claimed that being against blanket loan forgiveness for people making as much as $120k per year was "a pretty extreme position". We can talk about loan forgiveness more broadly (not just limited to student loans) for people who really need it, or for people who are heavily disadvantaged in society. But forgiving the student loan debt of college-educated folks with a well-paying job just isn't progressive, fair or good policy.

Why can't you admit already that you're a selfish prick on this one and just want your $10k, fairness or economic justice be damned? For example, I'll gladly admit that my entire political worldview is developed out of a position of self-interest. In fact, this is where most people's political preferences are actually coming from.

that user a deadbeat. lifelong leech on the taxpayer despite being born with pale pasty lefty privilege. it will take anything it can get just so it can burn the money via degenerate selfish behavior.

e: speaking of “loan forgiveness” apparently executive orders are legislation that is voted on now. lmao

Not having an economic message will cost Democrats the midterms.

Their stance is basically "yes, we know your real wages are getting crushed, but there is nothing we can do about it (without sacrificing items from our core agenda), so please just suck it up... come on man... you must vote for us to save democracy... something something ABORTION".

With Trump still looming, the Dobbs decision being both unpopular and a rare victory for the party out of power, and with Republicans having nominated a huge number of deeply flawed candidates, this year had the potential for Democrats to buck the usual midterms trends and get out of this very bad political environment with very limited losses. I'm convinced a strong and effective messenger in the White House could have accomplished that for Democrats. Put Obama in Biden's place and Dems easily keep the Senate and lose the House by less than 15 seats.

Honestly there's nothing any party can really do about it. It's literally the entire world's supply chain and energy supply.

Sucks to be the party in power when something like this happens. Trump had Covid that he made actively worse, and Democrats have had Ukraine and the tail end of Covid that they've not taken much action on.

It is what it is.

So we're just getting initial information on the attacker in the Pelosi home invasion in the last few minutes. All we knew in the past few hours is that Paul Pelosi was attacked by someone armed with a hammer and searching for Nancy Pelosi and waiting for her return when police arrived, enough to know the attacker was not particularly competent since she's in DC. Suspect was identified as David Wayne Depape of San Francisco. People are digging up any internet history of him right now, but its clear that he's been mentioned repeatedly as a "nudist activist" in san francisco. He went by many variations on his last name, like 'deppe', 'dupepe', 'depape', 'depappe',
His linkedin was already nuked

And here's an article mentioning him in the past;

Taub and Smith, plus her three kids, live in an upstairs Berkeley Victorian flat that is perpetually freezing, and they can always use another blanket. There are three bedrooms and six people if you count David dePappe, a hemp jewelry maker and father figure who will double as best man.

Pelosi's house has been targeted by antifa / radical left wing elements in the past, and it looks like that's what just happened again.

/e and apparently he went to Berkeley. Oh yeah, that's definitely left

it's an even fight, anyone who can pull down a woman with sloppers like her is already carrying around a serious hammer 24/7.
