definitely a beloved narrative by the upper middle class who think that despite earning 100k+ they're in the same boat as the dirty pooros today. Reminds me of the people who participated in Occupy Wall Street lol

/also reminds me of one of the books I read, written by an academic professor who acknowledged sending his kids to private school was an injustice because it gave them an advantage over those who can't afford it, but reassured himself it was okay because he supports more public school funding.
