Sure enough, the human torch's reddit account was identified and had a whole bunch of posts on the antifa sub. Several in which he mocked US servicemen who died in the line of duty and support for militant tranny terrorists attacking the homes of republican politicians
But I suppose being an IT guy who had never been within a thousand miles of combat or had any personal connection or understanding of the topic he was incensed about, is reason he should be taken seriously and shown the respect he didn't show to other soldiers in life

Hey man. That was immediately released was from an antifa account. Why is it more relevant?

Fuck this guy. Seriously, fuck him. Kooshy desk job in the airfore, never deployed, no combat, America bad. Thank fucking god he's dead.

Do you have anything to add?

Disgusting post

Ya it might be a touch insensitive but it's meant to draw your attention to the fact that a secret service member drew a gun and pointed it at an already deceased army vet.

Let's remember Thich Quang Duc the Buddhist monk who self immolated and had this to say right before he lit the match that ignited the 5 gallons his fellow monks dumped over his head.

"Before closing my eyes and moving towards the vision of the Buddha, I respectfully plead to President Ngô Đình Diệm to take a mind of compassion towards the people of the nation and implement religious equality to maintain the strength of the homeland eternally. I call the venerables, reverends, members of the sangha and the lay Buddhists to organize in solidarity to make sacrifices to protect Buddhism."[5]

David Halberstam of the NYT said this about being witness to the event.

"I was to see that sight again, but once was enough. Flames were coming from a human being; his body was slowly withering and shriveling up, his head blackening and charring. In the air was the smell of burning human flesh; human beings burn surprisingly quickly. Behind me I could hear the sobbing of the Vietnamese who were now gathering. I was too shocked to cry, too confused to take notes or ask questions, too bewildered to even think ... As he burned he never moved a muscle, never uttered a sound, his outward composure in sharp contrast to the wailing people around him."

My question is which act of self immolation was more peaceful? A monk making a statement to the then Catholic leader to "leave Buddhism alone" or the soldier who lit himself on fire to protest an "ongoing genocide"? I personally don't think Israel's response to Gaza after 10/7 is anything more then modern warfare. Not exactly genocide imo. Civilian casualties in a country that's packed like sardines. Expected.

Notice how the monk called for peace and the soldier called for war? Expected.

So an absolute shitfuck in Rafah today

Aid convoys arrived from Egypt, and were swarmed by thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of Palestinians on the most zoomed out views. They were formerly guarded by Palestinian / Hamas but they stopped guarding convoys and now the security details are IDF, and the IDF opened fire on the crowd swarming them after first trying warning shots. Impossible to get realistic numbers, and the Hamas claims of "760 shot" are bogus when the footage pretty clearly shows all kinds of people being trampled and run over by the trucks. Could be about 100+ dead, hundreds injured, mostly from the stampede/pancaking.

The obvious takeaway is that aid convoys into Gaza are no longer going to be feasible. You can't send food trucks if it just gets hundreds of people killed upon arrival and no truck crew will be willing to drive in.
Israel and the US are going to have to immediately start up airdrops of supplies like its the berlin airlift all over again, because what else can be done on a humanitarian level?

Even if they sent in enough supplies to feed 10 million people for a year, the first few trucks in are going to get swarmed, looted and massacred.

So if I'm getting the initial reports right

the IDF weren't actually surrounding the trucks being swarmed, the truck drivers were 3rd party (egyptian?) and the IDF security detail kept a distance away from them, escorting but not immediately on top of them
the giant swarm of people went after the trucks, and some swarmed the soldiers. Soldiers first fired warning shots, then shot at the mob coming at them, and the truck drivers also drove over the mob to get out of there, and the mob itself stampeded and crushed each other. And there's no clear timeline of which of these actions occurred in what order, given the total chaos

Small correction, the aid went to the north. Not toRafah.
