In an exclusive clip from the new season of TLC's My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Thore learns her body's limits while running a dance-a-thon.
"This is a big event for me, I've never pulled off a dance-a-thon by myself before," Thore says, as she energetically dances.
"About three-quarters of the way through I start getting really out of breath and my muscles – just holding my arms up – is taxing."
Thore takes a moment to sit down, drink some water and breathe, but her body is working overtime to cool off.
After asking a friend for Tylenol or another pain-reliever, Thore falls straight out of her chair and collapses on the floor.
Someone calls 911, and Thore is quickly given oxygen and loaded on to a stretcher, before getting whisked away to the hospital in an ambulance.
The incident pushes Thore to face her health issues head-on this season, and completely transform her life.
