And just for the record: I'm mostly pro-Israel and totally agree with you guys asserting yourself in a hostile environment,

Ah yes, a hostile environment.. that they created. When they ethnically cleansed over 750,000 Palestinians.

Get a spine, brother.

Because this land still officially belongs to Syria according to international law. The moral and legal justification for Israel occupying it is the strategic value of the place in fending off threats from Syria. That logic no longer holds, but you keep the Golan anyway, in spite of a lack of a "direct threat".

And just for the record: I'm mostly pro-Israel and totally agree with you guys asserting yourself in a hostile environment, agree with you guys doing what's strategically smart. My argument is just that in doing so, Israel has to occassionally be a dick to its neighbors and engage in behavior which takes place in a legal and moral grey zone. Which brings me back to my earlier point that Israel only "is no threat to its neighbors" as long as there are no conflicts of interest.

It often feels like international law was created to restrain one country in the Middle East, while the rest are free to do whatever they please. As for the Golan Heights they’re never going back to Syria. Giving it up would mean exposing Israeli communities to attacks again, just like before, with no natural barriers giving the Syrians the higher ground. That’s simply not going to happened

Around 800,000 - 1,000,000 Jews were expelled or forced to flee from Arab countries following the establishment of Israel in 1948 often under violent, hostile, and discriminatory conditions. At the same time, Israel fought a war that was launched against it by multiple Arab states that rejected the UN partition plan. Yet somehow, Israel is still blamed for the displacement of Arabs who fled that war many of whom left at the urging of their own leaders or in the chaos of the conflict.

There's only one country in the Middle East that constantly gets away with breaking international law. I think we can all guess which one it is. Israel set the stage. Nobody has to follow international law and why should they at this point? Israel does whatever it pleases. It uses starvation as a means of warfare with genocidal intent. When your country does fall: and it will. There won't be much mercy for it.

Your country poisoned water supplies, burned down villages, pushed people out of their homes, buried those who resisted, and then continued to play the victim. The logic is not complicated here. The Zionist project was seen as extremely hostile. Rightfully so. The irony is the Jewish people were far safer in the Arab nations than they were in Europe. Then the Europeans had to fuck that up too. Don't you see it? The Europeans even the Allies against the Axis, the English especially, wanted to expel all the Jews from Europe and put them into one place. They fooled you. Now you spend your life defending yourself from a situation created to intentionally make life for Jews miserable. The Christian Zionists want to see you all die. You have to be aware of this at this point right?

Of course it's not going to happen. If I were in Israel's shoes, I wouldn't give up such a strategically prime location either. It still is technically a landgrab, one which isn't justifed by "a direct threat" anymore, so while I agree with Israel keeping the Golan, it is nonetheless a contradiction of your argument from last page.

Keep going buddy, at this rate, you'll arrive at outright blood libel and thus complete the antisemitic trope bingo before the evening!
