sliced thick its gelatinous squishy and disgusting because the fat cant render. sliced thin it has the consistency of a nice spit roasted gyro meat, crisp exterior and salty to the point i dont need to add any salt to my eggs.
i also enjoy canned corned beef hash, another food people find disgusting because they've only had it cooked wrong, aka undercooked. u want to crispy at least on one side.
You can dissolve/break down meat in raw pineapple juice, it breaks down chitin as well.
when it's done cooking but when still piping -If you add grated horseradish & fresh chive or
green garlic sprouts in a cooking oil w/ a pinch of sea salt it will be better than 5star restaurant steak.
Haven't worked w/ spam exclusively but it's all the same food science as long as youre cooking it w/ some kind of cover.
