ITS NOT FAIR TO BRING UP THINGS FROM DECADES AGO OUT OF CONTEXT!

I believe Ben Carson unknowingly created a nifty tagline for Trump's campaign.

"It doesn't matter if these women are lying or not, what matters is that the Train is going off the cliff."

yes indeed Ben, yes indeed.

Trump people are really becoming the boy who cried wolf with the constant complaining about media bias.

It's really pathetic how many God-fearing men and women are coming on television defending a scumbag. I'm trying to figure out a way Republicans rebound from this election but I can't see it... there's too many nutty, anti-intellectuals in our party to move forward in a positive way. If Republicans nominate another person who can't win in 2020 I'll be voting for Hillary again.

IceMage, I found a pretty good article explaining the Trump phenomenon.

I grew up in the suburbs my whole life so I was never really exposed to the rural way of life outside of visiting my grandpa in central Florida. However, I can definitely empathize with them because neither party addresses their problems. They irrationally support Trump because he's the only one who is bringing their issues into the spotlight.

I remember when Obama completely took a shit on them in the 2008 primaries (Hillary took advantage of this and swept up all the rural counties). I really can't blame them for hating Obama because he really is a person who doesn't care about rural issues.

As for policy, I'm not sure how you can address this. There would be a clear flow of tax revenue moving away from the cities. Infrastructure projects would be very inefficient. Will Americans be ok with that? I highly doubt it. Regardless, Trump is a symptom of a very serious problem.

How much do you think is the influence of the size of America? There's also the clear conflict between the rural towns and their focus on self-reliability whilst at the same time being very much in need of help.

I have a pretty good idea why Trump got so popular... I grew up in an area full of the type of people that love him. I'll read that later though, thanks.

So to try to pull out of a tailspin with women voters Trump decides the best counter-evidence to employ is to call the women unattractive?

I don't even get how, at this point, this can be ANYTHING other than setting up a media empire. I've never seen a politician who wants to lose more, Southpark roasted Trump good in that respect.
