Brown Jackson is accused by the opposition of having shitty views. Something that all political or judicial nominees have to endure durign their confirmation hearings in the Senate.
Kavanaugh was accused of having been the leader of a ring of human traffickers and gang rapists when he was a 16 year old high school sophomore.

Kavanaugh also had the FBI basically not do the usual background checking on him. So I'd still say he got off pretty light. Behind the scenes if you're a nominee the FBI is supposed to basically dredge up everything you don't want them to know. They went intentionally light under Trump's direction.
