But we as a society can't write off every person we disagree with.

The issue is agreeing on what needs to be mentally treated.

One side says trans people don’t exist and should be treated with medical intervention.

The other side says that not only do trans people exist but it’s completely normal.

How can these 2 sides ever have a compromise?

I'm in agreeance, but having worked in mental health for 10 years of my life, funding is getting slashed everywhere and resources are becoming slimmer and slimmer

Self-Diagnosis is terrible, and docs are quick to throw folks onto a med without a deeper eval. We need a better system and some serious reform.
