Actual malice does not apply in the Jones case at all. It's a much higher standard and only applies when the defamed is a public figure. Dominion counts as a public figure since they're a company for example, so they have to prove that Fox and the like actively knew their claims were false.

In the media cases it's almost guaranteed that they were covering a public figure and so there's a much higher standard to seek damages.

Yeah I'd totally be laughing and smiling the day after my child was murdered, seems legit to me. All AJ of infosnacks did was point at oddities like this and ask questions, questions which any reasonable person who examined the evidence at the time would have asked.

Sigh... Seems I will have to break this down for the lesser folks. He rubs his eye around the 45 second mark, clearly no signs of watering on or around the eyes but shortly after this act the 'tears' start coming.
