i stated the facts about the """"election"""" of the german president as they are written down

and nobody here talked about the uk parliament? this is relevant how exactly?

but thanks for reminder fenderp, what would we do without you making random shit up

the uk has a parliament.....shocking news, we have just talked about that a millions times here

oh and nice dodge again

i'm used to you making absurd, science and facts denying claims, but this attempt to draw an equivalence between the bundespräsident and the royal family in terms of cost and democratic legitimacy is something else, even by your low standards.

guess the queen's shoe shine isn't too healthy for the brain...

I imagine that 99% of their wealth isn't fungible. It's all in castles and other stuff that the monarchy isn't even allowed to transfer any way.

You know nothing and even dumber than Jon Snow.

next up on fender boot obsession episode 591......

you are right though fenderp, i gotta apologise for the comparison

the queen had dignity and respect, our so called "presidents" do not

they have no democratic legitimacy whatsoever and we get zero in return for the bucks

my bad, but its good to know that you dont mind some random party shill chilling in a palace as long as its leftie with the people having zero say

yes, representation has its limits, its not necessarily democratic when you vote around multiple corners

a couple of really simple civics questions:

- who can become bundespräsident?
- through what procedure does one become bundespräsident?
- how long can you be bundespräsident?
- can the bundespräsident be impeached?

- how much does a bundespräsident earn?
- how much money does having a bundespräsident "cost" annually?

and then try to answer those for the queen / all members of the royal family. if you're genuinely unaware of how dumb your comparison was, there you go... xD
for clarification, none of this even means i'm in favour of having a bundespräsident, i'm just illustrating how absurd your "argument" is.

truly amazing what hoops you're willing to jump through, how dumb you're willing to (hopefully just pretend to) be, in order to licking dead queen boots...

I dunno how the rest of the world viewed her but my understanding from where I’m at was a lot of the countries stayed loyal to the UK over their love for her alone. Is this accurate?

Im sure most of the world that suffered under british colonialism isnt particularly fond of british royalty.

I mean the US and Canada don’t exactly hate them nowadays.
